From food to festivity    

In 1734, on a high bluff overlooking the Savannah River, James Oglethorpe planted a garden to nourish a young city in a new world. In 2008, Charles Morris assumed the cultivation of Mr. Oglethorpe’s garden to nourish a great city FOR the whole world. 

On Wednesday, August 6 at 88 Randolph Street from 4pm to 7pm; Trustees Market will host its 3^rd celebration of a growing community of producers and consumers of local, sustainable products.  

Trustees Market features local farmers, music, art and food.  

Trustees Market will be launching their weekly market on September 13 by hosting Savannah’s second annual GreenFest. Upcoming Market dates are August 6, September 3, September 13 (GreenFest) and starting again weekly on September 24.

In his only U.S. performance, Spanish vocal prodigy Pitingo displays a style he calls “flamenco soul,” which is heavily influenced by Aretha Franklin, Chacón, La Niña de Los Peines and Mairena. With one of the richest voices in music today, Pitingo is on a mission to push flamenco into the modern era, stating, “Flamenco needs to progress - what has happened in guitar playing must also happen in flamenco singing. One has to contribute new harmonies and ideas; this must be the artist’s goal.”
