The Charles H. Morris Center is the first phase of this entire Trustees’ Garden nine-acre project which involved the restoration and renovation of a historic 1881 building made of Savannah grey bricks.
This venue is a versatile and flexible facility that can be used for such things as business meetings, trade shows, art fairs, church and school gatherings, catered seated dinners, weddings, receptions, Bat and Bar Mitzvahs, speaker’s forums, on-line video conferences, visual and performing arts.
Some of the features include:
- high-speed internet
- broadband WI-FI
- multimedia projection capability
- sound system
- catering kitchen
- large scale food prep area
- adjacent board meeting room
- video capability for events
This Center, sets the tone for how we continue to restore and go forward with the rest of Trustees’ Garden. We envision more facilities that become true gathering place for a lot of different disciplines and walks of life. We welcome calls from interested individuals and businesses who share our vision and would like to be involved in this project.
Beginning the 20th of March, 2008, the Savannah Music Festival honored us by having 17 straight days of musical performances in our Center. This culiminated in 38 performances featuring a variety of music and silent movies, and brought thousands of visitors through the facility.
The Center is available starting the second week of April, 2008. If you are interested in renting part or all the of the Center, you can see more details on the Accommodating Spaces page. You can also request a reservation, or please contact Tate Hudson at 912.443.3277 or email him at tate@trusteesgarden.com.
