Mike Marshall, Paul Kowert and Alex Hargreaves are the Big Trio. This highly talented group creates intricate arrangements and incisive improvisation that integrate the history and international breadth of acoustic string music. They will premiere a new work, composed by Mike Marshall and commissioned by the Savannah Music Festival, at this midday concert.

SMF’s annual Zydeco Dance Party features one of the hottest Southwest Louisiana bands, Jeffery Broussard & The Creole Cowboys, showcasing its leader, the 2007 Zydeco Music & Creole Heritage Awards Accordionist of the Year. Jeffery and his band will have the dance floor jumping as they deliver soulful renditions of Creole classics as well as their own brand of contemporary Zydeco.
